Description

The light of an ancient civilisation

Farvahar is an icon from Iran, the cradle of the Persian civilization, and a symbol of Zoroastrianism. This monotheistic religion is founded on the belief of the struggle between good and evil and the light and darkness that is present in every person incarnated in a material world.

There are three principles that guide man through this path towards eternal bliss: good deeds, good thoughts, and good words. Mankind is helped by the Fravashi, which is a guardian angel, soul, and spirit. An entire month in the Zoroastrian and Iranian (Persian) calendars is dedicated to Fravashi.

As a magnificent symbol, the Faravahar takes flight

The Faravahar spreads its wings across the body of the Varius Caran d’Ache pen. This piece comes in three versions: 800 silver, 18k gold, or 950 platinum. The Faravahar symbol is framed by silver arabesques.

This writing instrument is a limited edition of 470 pieces, harking back to the year in which the sacred fire was thought to have been lit in the Fire Temple Yazd.
